How the flag is made
  • Only the top 40 rows of a 64 × 64 texture are painted here — that is the rectangle the flag model samples. The rest of the file is written empty.
  • The pole is a separate texture and is never overwritten: your artwork only replaces the cloth.
  • Transparent texels render as nothing — the cloth has no silhouette of its own, so paint the outline as well as the emblem.
