Our Commitment to Fair Moderation

At Sovereign MC, we believe in creating a fair, fun, and respectful environment for all players.

To ensure this, we have a public bans page, and uphold the following principles:

Player Autonomy

To prevent weaponized bans (banning innocent players), we will not ban any players for rules broken outside of our servers. However, we reserve the right to take action if any behavior is deemed illegal, such as blackmail or other serious online misconduct. We simply expect that you follow these rules when using our servers.

Player Made Communities: While we are committed to ensuring a positive environment on our server, we do not moderate or manage player-created Discord servers or groups. It is the responsibility of the players within those communities to foster a respectful and enjoyable atmosphere. If issues arise, we encourage players to report them directly to Discord's moderation team. The survival of these groups depends on the positive contributions of their members and it's own Discord server rules.

Staff Powers

Our staff members are regularly reviewed to ensure they uphold our standards of fairness, professionalism, and respect. Unlike other servers, our staff follow the same rules as players, and we are committed to maintaining a trustworthy and impartial team to foster a positive experience for all players.

Staff cannot interfere with ingame politics. Moderators have limited power aside from moderating and investigating misconduct to prevent misuse of powers.

We do not ban players based on assumptions or without evidence.

Respect for Privacy

We respect our players' privacy and will never demand access to personal messages or accounts as a condition for appeal or reinstatement.

Only Administrators have access to ingame messages between players and are investigated if there was a player report or automatically flagged as offensive.

Accountability

Our rules are transparent and consistently applied to everyone, regardless of their status in the community.

Players who believe they were treated unfairly can appeal bans or other actions through a clear, respectful process.

All appeals are reviewed by the highest-ranking staff members to ensure there was no bias or unfair treatment.
