Creating Structures — SovereignMC Wiki TownyStructures is SovereignMC’s custom industry solution. It breathes functional life into the beautiful and ornate but otherwise purposeless buildings found throughout a town, chiefly by allowing them to become cogs in the overarching industrial machine. Without structures, your town’s industry cannot function . they are the foundation upon which all advanced crafting, processing, and resource generation is built. The choice of what to build and where is yours. Will you cluster your structures together for convenience, spreading them across town to beautify every district? Will you focus on resource extraction, manufacturing, or something in between? TownyStructures doesn’t just add machinery. It adds meaning to every building you create. Part One (Introduction to Structures) You are here Part Two (Structures) Part Three (Sigils) Guide Book The in-game Structures Guide is the fastest way to browse everything without leaving the game. It uses a Slimefun-style catalog. Get the book: /ts book — gives you an Enchanted Book named Structures Guide . If your inventory is full it drops at your feet. Open it: hold the book and right-click . You can also run /ts guide directly. Search: /ts search <query> — anvil search across all items. Recipe lookup: /ts recipe <item> — shows where an item is made / what it is used for. Inside the guide: Getting Started , How to Play , Commands , Tier T0–T5 browsers, Item categories (raw ores, ingots, building blocks, logs, concrete, crops, munitions, capacitors, circuit boards, consumables, sigils, multiblocks, outputs), plus per-structure pages. Workshop recipes and all other crafting recipes are browsable here — see the guide book in game for the full list. Recommended starting order shown in the guide: Workshop T0 → Woodcutter T0 → Smelter T0 → Deep Mine T0 → Crusher T0 → Power Plant T1 , then T1 upgrades. Creating a Structure Structures virtually do not differ from other buildings in a town, as such, any build can be registered as a towny structure, given that it meets the requirements. To register a building as a structure, stand in it and run /ts register <structure_type> , e.g. /ts register workshop_t0 . This prompts you to confirm with /ts register <structure_type> confirm within 30 seconds. Upon confirmation, the structure gets registered and its blocks can no longer be griefed. To make changes, run /ts deregister while standing on the structure (mayor / co-mayor only), edit, and re-register. Re-registering the same tier is free — you only pay the first-time fee once per family. Structures must be 250 to 2500 blocks big {.is-info} Structures must be built on the surface and do not merge together. They need a clear exclusive zone and sky clearance, and must pass validation (above-ground, air volume, no bedrock too close). {.is-info} Structures require a first‑time registration fee. Deregistering to change appearance and registering again is free. Upgrading to a new tier costs baseFee(lowest tier) x multiplier — T1 x1.5, T2 x1.8. Downgrading is free and credits you so re-upgrading is free. {.is-info} Note that while structures can be built in town outskirts, they will be deregistered automatically once a battle starts. For this reason, it is recommended not to create structures which feature a lot of buffer storage in outskirts. {.is-warning} Only base tiers can be registered directly. Higher tiers use /ts upgrade [confirm] while standing on the structure. Example: register deep_mine_t0 , then /ts upgrade to go T1 → T2. Allowed Blocks The following blocks are permitted for building. Blocks are grouped by category for easier navigation. Please note that the natural occuring types of stone, andesite, diorite & granit are not allowed to prevent merge issues. Per-structure extras (e.g. Sawmill needs 1x Stonecutter, Crop Farm needs 100x crops + farmland, Woodcutter scans leaves) are checked on top of this list. 🌳 Wood Wood Variants Category Allowed Planks All wood types Logs & Stems All wood types Wood & Hyphae All wood types Stripped Logs & Stems All wood types Stripped Wood & Hyphae All wood types Slabs All wood types Stairs All wood types Fences All wood types Fence Gates All wood types Doors All wood types Trapdoors All wood types Wood Types Acacia Bamboo Birch Cherry Crimson Dark Oak Jungle Mangrove Oak Spruce Warped 🪨 Stone & Bricks Stone Families Block Family Allowed Cobblestone Block, Slab, Stairs, Wall Cleanstone Slab Mossy Cobblestone Block, Slab, Stairs, Wall Stone Bricks Normal, Mossy, Cracked, Chiseled, Slab, Stairs, Wall Smooth Stone Block, Slab Bricks Block, Slab, Stairs, Wall Mud Packed Mud Mud Bricks Block, Slab, Stairs, Wall Sandstone Normal, Chiseled, Cut, Smooth, Slab, Stairs, Wall Red Sandstone Normal, Chiseled, Cut, Smooth, Slab, Stairs, Wall Nether Bricks Normal, Red, Chiseled, Cracked, Slab, Stairs, Wall, Fence End Stone End Stone, End Stone Bricks, Slab, Stairs, Wall, End Rod Deepslate Cobbled, Polished, Bricks and Tiles (including Slabs, Stairs and Walls) Blackstone Blackstone, Polished Blackstone and Polished Blackstone Bricks (including Slabs, Stairs and Walls) Basalt Basalt, Polished Basalt, Smooth Basalt Tuff Tuff, Polished Tuff, Chiseled Tuff, Tuff Bricks, Chiseled Tuff Bricks (including Slabs, Stairs and Walls) Special Cases The following block families intentionally only allow their decorative variants: Andesite Diorite Granite Allowed variants: Polished Slabs Stairs Walls 🟫 Copper & ⛓️ Iron Copper & Iron Blocks Category Allowed Chiseled Copper All oxidation stages (including Waxed variants) Copper Grates All oxidation stages (including Waxed variants) Copper Doors All oxidation stages (including Waxed variants) Copper Trapdoors All oxidation stages (including Waxed variants) Copper Bulbs All oxidation stages (including Waxed variants) Iron Iron Block, Iron Bars, Iron Door, Iron Trapdoor, Chain 🎨 Decorative Blocks Decorative Blocks Category Allowed Terracotta Regular Terracotta and all 16 colors Concrete All 16 colors 🪟 Glass Glass Category Allowed Glass Glass and Glass Pane Stained Glass All 16 colors (Blocks and Panes) 📦 Utility Blocks Utility Blocks Category Allowed Storage Barrel, Chest Crafting Crafting Table, Furnace Decoration Bookshelf --- 💡 Light Sources Light Sources Category Allowed Torches Torch, Wall Torch Lanterns Lantern, Soul Lantern Copper Bulbs All oxidation stages (including Waxed variants) Froglights Ochre, Pearlescent, Verdant Other Glowstone, Sea Lantern Using a Structure To use a structure, one may execute `/ts open` while standing in one or right click at the structure registration point to open the `/ts open` menu without having to type the command. The position is highlighted with a spiral of particles. The user will be greeted with a custom UI particular to the structure they're interacting with. For instance, it will open the block selection window for the quarry's passive block generation. Management of Structures Town mayors and comayors are able to register or deregister structures, while also being able to keep track of them with /ts list (shows TYPE [ACTIVE/INACTIVE/UNFINISHED] + UUID). Town members who are not otherwise blocked from using a particular structure via permissions are able to interact with them similarly using the /ts open command. Useful commands: /ts guide , /ts book , /ts search <query> , /ts recipe <item> , /ts register <type> , /ts open , /ts list , /ts upgrade , /ts downgrade , /ts link , /ts unlink , /ts restore (free-registration browser), /ts cap , /ts deregister Getting Started Structures unlock custom items and machines, but you don’t start with them. You have to bootstrap your way in. The Workshop T0 is your first and most important structure. It costs $100 first-time, just vanilla blocks, and lets you craft everything else: output crates, machine blocks (transformer, electric motor, fluid pump, etc.), and T1 consumables. One needs to build something as rudimentary as a wooden shack, and then do /ts register workshop_t0 , pay the first time price and then they will be in the ecosystem. The /ts open window for the workshop shows a list of items that one can craft, and the required materials. The materials are pulled from the player’s inventory when he crafts something. Full recipe list is in the guide book ( /ts guide ). Suggested path: Workshop T0 → Woodcutter T0 → Smelter T0 → Deep Mine T0 → Crusher T0 → Power Plant T1 → T1 upgrades. T0 uses vanilla consumables. T1+ uses electricity from the town pool plus tiered consumables. See Part Two for the full T0–T2 tables. Structure input/output Some structures take inputs from GUI input slots, process them (consuming fuel/electricity + consumables), and dump their output into an Output Crate linked at registration time. Place an Output Crate (T1: 1x Barrel + 6x Planks, craftable from the Workshop) inside the footprint and run /ts link (mayor only) to link up to 5 crates + capacitors. /ts unlink clears them. If no crate is linked, results go to your inventory. If crates are missing/full, production pauses. Updated 2026-09-16
